Cavaliers at home in Antwerpen, try to turn the tide

(Antwerpen)- CBLE moved to Antwerpen on Tuesday to bring home the Cavaliers (2-6) that showed great offense in their first 6 games but struggled on the mound.

Cavaliers @ Admirals 6-9

Admirals took the lead for good in the fourth inning to capture a back-and-forth game from Cavaliers by a 9-6 score on Tuesday. The game was tied at five with Admirals batting in the bottom of the fourth when C Hendershot singled off of M Joossens, driving in one run.
Admirals collected eight hits and Cavaliers had seven in the high-scoring affair
Cavaliers took an early lead in the first inning.
Admirals took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth there was an error, scoring one run and J Shotton singled off of M Joossens, driving in two runs.
Cavaliers scored three runs in the third inning. Cavaliers’s big inning was driven by a walk by J Droogenbroeck and a double by O Thompson.
Z Lundgren earned the win for Admirals. He threw three and a third innings, giving up two runs, three hits, and striking out two. Joossens took the loss for Cavaliers. He went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering nine runs, seven hits, and striking out three.
N Scheer started the game for Admirals. He tossed two and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs, two hits, and striking out two.
J Moon and Shotton each drove in two runs to lead Admirals.
Thompson led Cavaliers with two runs batted in. He went 1-for-4 on the day.

Admirals @ Falcons 6-7

Falcons and Admirals traded the lead back-and-forth on Wednesday, but eventually Falcons prevailed 7-6. Falcons took the lead for good in the fifth inning. The game was tied at four with Falcons batting in the bottom of the fifth when C Cummings singled off of N Diaby, driving in one run.
Falcons collected 11 hits and Admirals had 14 in the high-scoring affair
Admirals took an early lead in the first inning. Admirals scored one run when C Hendershot singled with one out in the first inning.
A Bailey earned the win for Falcons. He threw three innings, surrendering four runs, five hits, striking out two, and walking zero. N Diaby took the loss for Admirals. He pitched five innings, giving up seven runs, nine hits, and striking out seven.
B Burleson started the game for Falcons. He pitched four innings, allowing two runs, nine hits, striking out one, and walking zero.
F McGrath, Bailey, J Thrasher, and J Gentry each collected multiple hits for Falcons. Gentry and McGrath each drove in two runs to lead Falcons.
J Stefanki, I Bilbao, Hendershot, J Shotton, and M Gould each collected multiple hits for Admirals. Gould led Admirals with three runs batted in. He went 2-for-4 on the day.

Bombers @ Cavaliers 14-4

Cavaliers fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 14-4 loss to Bombers on Wednesday. Bombers took the lead on a single in the first inning.
Bombers captured the lead in the first inning. With two outs in the first inning M Reichel drove in one run when he singled.
Cavaliers scored three runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to a single by F Dirks and a single by R Lewis.
Bombers scored six runs in the second inning. The big inning for Bombers came thanks to a error, a stolen base , a double by M Maleski, a single by C Jones, and a single by J Wittwer.
Reichel earned the win for Bombers. He went three and two-thirds innings, surrendering one run, five hits, striking out three, and walking one. L Ballardini took the loss for Cavaliers. He tossed three innings, giving up eight runs, seven hits, and striking out two.
Jones started the game for Bombers. He went two and a third innings, surrendering three runs, four hits, striking out one, and walking one.
Cavaliers collected nine hits. J Kuijsten, Dirks, and D Groenewoud each collected multiple hits for Cavaliers. Dirks and Lewis each drove in two runs to lead Cavaliers.
Bombers had 11 hits in the game. L Fischer, Maleski, and Reichel each collected multiple hits for Bombers. Fischer went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Bombers in hits. Bombers was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jones made the most plays with four.
