Sant Boi Falcons take the lead on sad day

Admirals took the lead for good in the fifth inning to capture a back-and-forth game from Cavaliers by a 6-4 score on Tuesday. The game was tied at four with Admirals batting in the bottom of the fifth when Gould doubled off of Droogenbroeck, driving in one run.

Admirals captured the lead in the first inning. An error scored two runs for Admirals.

Diaby earned the win for Admirals. He went two and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs, five hits, and striking out two Rosenbohm recorded the last four outs to earn the save for Admirals. Droogenbroeck took the loss for Cavaliers. He pitched four and two-thirds innings, surrendering five runs, seven hits, striking out seven, and walking one.

Watt started the game for Admirals. He tossed three innings, allowing two runs, four hits, striking out three, and walking one.

Admirals collected nine hits. Moon and Rudolph each collected multiple hits for Admirals. Shotton went 1-for-2 at the plate as he led the team with two runs batted in. Admirals tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Moon led the way with two.

Cavaliers had nine hits in the game. Lewis, Ballardini, and Rouwenhorst each collected multiple hits for Cavaliers.

(Sant Boi Barcelona)- Today our host, Club de Béisbol y Sóftbol Sant Boi, received the tragic news about the death of its long time member Joseph Rodríguez. The game between Falcons and Bombers started with a moment of silence to honor Joseph.

Sant Boi Falcons @ Amsterdam Bombers 4-1

Bombers stayed in it until the end, but Falcons pulled away late in a 4-1 victory on Tuesday. The game was tied at one with Falcons batting in the top of the fifth when McGrath grounded out, scoring one run.

Bombers took an early lead in the first inning. A wild pitch by Keating scored one run for Bombers.

Falcons evened things up at one in the top of the third inning. McGrath singled on a 1-0 count in the third inning, scoring one run.

Keating earned the win for Falcons. He went seven innings, allowing one run, four hits, and striking out three. Tipps took the loss for Bombers. He pitched four innings, allowing three runs, two hits, and striking out one.

Honing started the game for Bombers. He went three innings, surrendering one run, two hits, and striking out three.

Fischer led Bombers with one run batted in. He went 1-for-2 on the day.

Falcons was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Thrasher made the most plays with 11.
